Well, congratulations if you are reading this, for that does of course mean you made it into New Years Day without incident, and on behalf of our entire team allow me to wish you all the very best for the year ahead.

There were some excellent celebrations last night that saw in the New Year in many different countries, and if you are a fan of horse racing then one of the busiest days of the year at most racecourses is of course January the first.

Many people do love nothing more than spending their day off at a racecourse, and with that in mind today I am going to be passing on some horse racing tips on a range of different horses running at several different racecourses.

If you are unable to attend any of the following race meetings in person, then do keep in mind there are plenty of online and mobile betting sites and betting apps that you can make use of to place any type of bet you do fancy placing today.

But as always, it is important that you do select one that is fully licensed and regulated, and ideally licensed in the country in which you reside.

Also, keep in mind that to enable you to get the very best betting value you should always be prepared to shop around and compare the odds available at different sites and venues as the odds will always tend to differ vary depending on where you choose to place your bets!

Today’s UK Horse Racing Tips

Today January the 1st 2018 sees six horse race meetings being held in the UK and those racecourses are Southwell, Cheltenham, Catterick, Musselburgh, Exeter and Fakenham.

In the Betway Claiming Stakes race which is scheduled to start at 1:10 at Southwell one horse I do like the look of is Gabrial’s Star, the odds currently available on that horse are around 11/4 and based on its form it does have a good chance of being placed at least.

I do also like the look of Panis Angelicus who is currently trading at around odds of 2/1 in the Racing Again 11th January Handicap Hurdle race over at Catterick, that race is scheduled to start at 3:20 and is sure to be a good one to watch.

One final race that I have been closely looking at is the 2:15 race over at Musselburgh that race is called the Totepool Hogmaneigh Handicap Hurdle race and if you do fancy following the money on that race then it is Sir Chauvelin that you should be placing your money on.

The current odds that are being offered by most bookmakers and online and mobile betting sites on Sir Chauvelin are 5/2 but it may be advisable to shop around and make use of any best odds guarantees that are currently available to ensure you lock in the best odds possible.

Horse Racing Tips from Irish Racecourses

There are two racecourse over in Ireland that are holding race meetings today those being Tramore and Fairyhouse, those two racecourses are expecting some large crowds today, but with the weather not being the best if you do intend to visit either of them please do make sure you wrap up warm!

The first tip I would like tip pass onto you is in the 1:05 race at Tramore that race is the Curran South East Cleaners Maiden Hurdle and the smart money does appear to be on horse number four, that being Deal D’Estruval. The current odds of Deal D’Estruval are 4/6 but with some shopping and hunting around you may find some much higher early prices available on it.

Over at Fairyhouse the one horse that does stand out is in the 2:40 race, that is the Follow Fairyhouse On Social Media Beginners Chase race, and that horse is the number 8 runner that being Sutton Place.

The form of that horse is such that Sutton Place has been pencilled in as the favourite at quite a number if not all betting sites, and the best odds I have so far seen being offered are odds of 10/11.

I also like the look of Clinton Hill in the last race of the day over at Fairyhouse, that race being named the Join Us In January – Racing 14th, 17th & 27th race, and if you are quick you may still find odds of 6/4 on offer on that horse at various different betting sites.
