Grand National 2018 result:
Bless the Wings
Road to Riches
It will be at Aintree racecourse at quarter past five this afternoon that many people will be tuning into on their television sets, for that is when this year’s Grand National in scheduled to start.
The Grand National is one of the most popular races in the UK racing calendar and a huge percentage of the adult popular of Great Britain and beyond will be having at least one bet on one of the runners today.
However, this years there is no clear favourite and as such, with so many horses in that race, there are some huge odds on offer on most of the horse taking part in it, and whilst your odds of picking out the winner may be low, the odds you will get on the horses that are running will tempt you to place a bet for sure.
As it currently stands there are currently five horses that are listed as the favourite on many bookmakers betting markets, but keep in mind he odds are going to fluctuate all day.
Those five horses are the number 13 horse Tiger Roll and the number 2 horse Blaklion, along with the number 3 horse Anibale Fly, the number 6 horse Total Recall and the number 18 horse Seeyouatmidnight and all those horses are currently listed at odds of 12/1.
So, if you do fancy placing a bet on one of the favourites then it will be one of those five horses that you should be looking at placing a bet on, and those odds are certainly going to tempt a lot of people to do just that!
Horses Worth an Each-Way Bet in the Grand National
One thing that is worth knowing this year regarding the types of bets and wagers you can place at many betting sites and bookmaker’s shops and apps is that any of them will be paying up to 6 places on the place section of an each-way bet.
As such if you are prepared to place such a bet if the horse you do select finishes in one of the first six positions of the race and you place your bets at such a bookmaker offering six places, then you will still get a winning pay-out on your each-way bet.
With that in mind let me give you some ideas of the horses that are going to have a very good chance of finishing in one of the six places. Those horses include Baie Des Ile whose odds are currently very tempting as they are 16/1.
Three additional horses who all have odds of 18/1 attached and associated to them include I Just Know, Captain Redbeard and Ucello Conti.
You can also place a bet on either The Dutchman or The Last Samurai and if you choose to do so you will be paid out at odds of 20/1. But there may also be some value in betting on Raz De Maree at 22/1, Shantou Flyer or Gas Line Boy at their respective odds of 25/1 or possibly having a bet on Milansbar or Vieux Lion Rouge who are both 28/1.
Outsiders Worth a Punt in the Grand National
History has proven time and time again that even the horses that have huge odds attached to them can win the Grand National, and as such I would never put you off betting on any horse that you like the look of.
There are currently four horses that are chalked up at odds of 33/1 and they may tempt you to have a win or each way bet on them and those horses are Alpha Des Obeaux, Pleasant Company, Houblon Des Obeaux and Chase the Spud.
Several horses are also available at odds of 40/1 and they include Final Nudge, Warriors Tale, Thunder and Roses and Carlingford Lough, but do also consider placing a bet on any of the horses that are available and on offer at odds of 50/1 including the likes of Bless the Wings, Lord Windermere, Road To Riches and Saint Are.
It may also be worth chancing your arm on some of the horses that are available at odds of 66/1 and if that sis something you do fancy doing then the horses that do have those odds include Buywise, Virgilio, Perfect Candidate and Valseur Lido.
No matter which horse or horses you do select on the Grand National today, you are going to have an excellent time watching the most gruelling of races!
