It is often one of the most watched of cycling events, and that is going to be the case with this year’s Tour De France, and I am more than aware many fans of professional cycling tournaments, races and events are going to both be watching that event and also having a bet on their favourite cyclist too.
With that in mind today I am going to be looking at the early betting odds that are currently available at several different online and mobile betting sites associated with the 2018 Tour De France.
Now, one of the benefits of placing a bet well in advance of any event starting is of course that you are going to be able to secure some quite generous odds, much more so than when the event actually starts and the in play betting markets then spring to life.
The odds you will find listed below are on the outright winner and those betting odds are without Froome. You will also find that several betting sites are not only going to allow you to place an outright winner bet, but they will allow you to place an each way bet too.
As such if you are thinking of placing an each way bet make sure that you pick a betting site that is going to give you not only the best odds buy that give you a bigger percentage of those win odds as the payouts on the place part of those bets, and also those sites offering more places for each way betting payout purposes too!
Favourites to Win the Tour De France 2018 without Froome
The betting without Froome outright betting markets are could offer you some value if you do place a bet sooner rather than later, however I will now give you an insight into the cyclists who are fancied to in this event.
It is of course Richie Porte who is currently pencilled in to be the outright winning and if you do fancy him winning, like many other fans of the sport do, then if you get a move on you will be rewared with odds of 13/8.
The next cyclist that is getting a lot of attention in the betting markets is Nairo Quintana and he is offer at odds of 11/4, the next person who is getting plenty of money placed on his is Tom Dumoulin and he is on offer at odds of 4/1, if you think that Mikel Landa does have something of a chance of winning then the sooner you place a bet the soon you can take advantage of his current outright win odds of 5/1
A few other cyclist that are fairly high up in the betting markets and may just have a chance of winning this event outright without Froome are Vincenzo Nibali who is on offer at odds of 11/2 you will also find that Geraint Thomas is on offer at odds of 8/1 and if you think Romain Bardet has a chance of winning then make sure you make use of his current fairly high odds of some 10/1.
Tour De France Outsiders to Win
There are plenty of cyclists taking part in this year’s Tour De France that have very little chance of winning it outright, if their respective betting odds are anything to go by, and as such I will now enlighten you on who those cyclists are and what their outright win odds are.
You can bag odds of 500 to 1 on Damiano Caruso Mikel Nieve, Mathias, Roman Kreuizger, Rui Costa, Sam Oomen, Marc Soler, Tanel, Jan Hirt and also on Jack and Guillaume Martin so even a very small and reasonably sized bet on any of those cyclists could see you winning big if they do win this event outright without Froome being part of the result!
Some other cyclists that have currently all got odds of 500 to 1 on them winning this event and may be of interest to you if you do fancy placing a bet on them are Tony Gallopin, David de la Cruz, Emanuel Buchmann, Carlos Betancur Pierre Rolland, Peter Sagan and Patrick Konrad.
The complete outsider in regards to winning this year’s Tour De France is Mark Cavendish and if you do wish to place a bet on him you are going to find some massive odds on him winning and currently those odds are as high as 2000/1!
