The long awaited PGA Tour that is the Genesis Open is soon to be upon us and as such there is bound to be a good chance that if you are a fan of golf you will be placing a few bets and wagers on that tournament.

Most of the biggest betting sites, sportsbooks and bookmakers have now made live their outright winner betting markets and as such today I am going to be looking through them and letting you know which golfers have good fair and good chance of winning that event outright and which ones are the long shots to do so too.

Whilst you can bet on the golfer that you think is going to win the Genesis Open PGA Tour outright, you will also find many betting sites are offering one fifth the odds on six places if you choose to place an each way type of bet, so keep that in mind as there is plenty of value to be had when and if you do shop around.

It is also important to keep in mind that the following odds are of course going to start to move as soon as that golf tournament does get in full flow and starts, and as such if you are tempted by any of the following odds then the sooner you get your bets placed the better, as the odds on each golfer will increase or decrease based on how well they are playing of course!

Golfers in with a Chance of Winning the Genesis Open

The current favourite to win this tournament is of course the inform Dustin Johnson and if you do fancy his chances on winning then now may be the time to place a bet on him for his current odds on winning this event outright are quite reasonable it must be said at some 5/1.

There is a big jump in regards to the value of the odds on the next to golfers in the betting markets for both Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy can currently be had at odds of 14/1, and it is true and fair to say that either of them do have the skill and abilities to possibly win this event.

The next golfer pencilled in as the next best one, if the betting market are anything to go by is Justin Thomas     and many people do feel he could be the winner and if you do to then start to mop up the current odds of 16/1 that may batting sites are offering on him to win.

You may be interested in betting on Paul Casey and if so then you will find odds generally available of 22/1, however do consider placing a bet on Tommy Fleetwood at 28/1, Phil Mickelson also at 28/1, or even place a bet on Marc Leishman at 30/1,

The next three golfers in the betting market are all available at odds of a fairly generous 40/1 and those golfers are Chez Reavie, Ollie Schniederjans and also Tiger Woods, the latter of which I am more than confident a few punters will be placing their money on!

Rank Outsiders to Win the Genesis Open

As there are a huge number of golfers taking part in the Genesis Open 2018 then as you would expect many of them do have some huge odds associated with them winning.

However, anything can and often does happen during any major golf tournament, and as such you may be interested in placing a few single outright winner type of bets or even a few each way bets on some of those outsiders, and if so then below are the golfers that based on their current form and their odds, do appear to have little chance of winning.

Greg Chalmers, A. Points, Jon Curran, Charlie Beljan, Billy Hurley, Andrew Loupe and Adam Schenk all have odds of a huge 750/1 on them winning, however currently the one golfer who does appear to be completely friendless in the betting markets is Vinnie Poncino for it would be a miracle if he did win this even for his odds of doing so are a whopping 1500/1!

Keep in mind that once the tournament does start in earnest and each round is being played off you will also find in play betting market do come into force at many betting sites, so in effect you can place bets and wagers of any type once the tournament is in full flow.
