It has now been confirmed that Chris Froome will indeed by taking part in this year’s Tour Dr France, and that means many betting sites have been scrambling to adjust their betting markets to now factor him back into the odds they are offering.

In fact it has affected the betting markets that didn’t have him listed as one of the riders, for he is now the 13/8 favourite to win, and there is of course a very good chance that he may just do so!

There are plenty of other riders that could beat him and take the title and those that are currently attracting plenty of money on the betting markets include the likes of Richie Porte at 4/1, Nairo Quintana at 7/1 and Mikel Landa at 9/1.

But as long as a rider is taking part in the Tour De France then any of them could win it of course and there are some value hunters who have been placing bets on the two 10/1 shots in this event, and those riders are Vincenzo Nibali and Tom Dumoulin, either of whom could just come out on top!

Each Way Betting Opportunities

I have seen more than enough betting sites offering each-way betting opportunities and betting markets on which they are offering one quarter the odds on the first three riders to be placed in this event and as such there is plenty of value to be had by placing such a bet on a few of the riders with much higher of odds attached to them.

If an each-way bet is one you do fancy placing then consider betting on any of the three 16/1 shots as you should get a good run from your money when you do so, and those riders for reference are Romain Bardet, Primoz Roglic and Adam Yates!

Long Shots to Win the Tour De France

There is a huge list of other riders that could be in with a good chance of winning or at the very least making it into one of the each-way paying positions in the Tour De France, so if you do fancy placing a bet on some of the outsiders and long shots to win this event then please do read on as I will be giving you a few pointers of which riders may be worth a small bet!

Geraint Thomas and Jakob Fuglsang are both on offer at many betting sites at odds of 20/1 and also consider a small bet on either Rigoberto Uran or Alejandro Valverde who can be had at quite reasonable and appealing odds of 25/1!

Even though they have huge odds on offer on them, a few other riders that are skilful enough to win or get placed in this event include the likes of Egan Bernal at 40/1, Daniel Martin who isn’t without a chance at his current odds of 50/1, along with Iinur Zakarin who is also available at lots of betting sites at 50/1 too!
