January 10, 2018 January 8, 2018 Barbara Cohen

It is on Sunday the 14th January 2018 when one of the most popular Snooker tournaments is going live, that of course being The Masters, and as happens every year many Bookmakers have already opened their ante post betting markets.

What many Snooker fans tend to do however it so use those ante post betting markets to try and lock in the best possible value by placing their bets before any players take to the tables, for by doing so if any player they do fancy finds his form his odds will of course drop when he starts winning match after match.

With that in mind today I am going to be taking a look at the current odds available at various different betting sites, and by doing so you may spot a player whose odds are too high to ignore!

Keep in mind though there are many players taking part in The Masters 2018 and any of them could find their form and win the tournament, so try and look further than just the favourite or second favourite, for as experience has taught me it can often be some of the outsiders that could win the tournament!

Whilst you can of course bet on each player in each individual match, in today’s news story I am going to be looking at the outright betting market, that being the one offering odds on which player will win the tournament outright. If you want to bet on individual matches then look up the odds on any betting sites betting platform.

Betting Odds Available On The Masters 2018

You can place an outright winner bet on the Snooker tournament that is The Masters 2018 or you can of course choose to place an each way type of bet, and by doing the latter you have to place a two part bet

The place part of the bet will payout at one half of the odds listed below if the player you select finishes in first or second place and the first part of the bet, that being the win bet pays out at full odds if your chosen player wins the tournament.

It is Ronnie O’Sullivan who is the current favourite to win The Masters 2018 an his current odds on doing so are 5/2, if you fancy an outside then consider placing a bet on Barry Hawkins at 25/1 or place a bet on Marco Fu whose odds are currently a rather appealing 33/1.

Some smart money is currently being placed on Mark Selby to win this tournament, and his odds of 9/2 do appear to reflect his chances and the volume of wagers being placed upon him. Another couple of outsiders however to consider include Mark Allen at 28/1 or possibly Ali Carter whose current odds are huge at some 66/1!

The third player in the betting market is Judd Trump who has been right up to his very best form recently and the odds you can secure currently on him winning are 11/2. Two players who are not fancied in the betting markets but may just be players you do wish to place a bet on them are Luca Brecel at 33/1 and also Ryan Day at odds of 66/1.

Betting on Snooker Matches

You are of course not only going to be limited to placing a bet on who you thing is going to win any Snooker tournament outright, for you can bet on each individual match in a tournament, and in some cases on each individual round too.

What you will also find is that a large number of sports betting sites are also going to be giving you access to live in play betting markets, and as such you are going to be very easily able to place all manner of different bets and wagers once any match is in play.

Plus, with the advent of betting apps you are not going to have to physically place a bet in a bookmakers shop or pay a visit to a sportsbook or even use your computer to place such a bet as you can simply use your mobile device to place such a bet.

But do keep in mind, and this is important, the odds you will be offered on any player in any Snooker match or tournament will vary depending on where to place your bets, and it is always going to be advisable for you to compare the odds available at several different betting sites, to ensure you do get the best odds currently available!
