Where is the Smart Money on Day 3 of Royal Ascot Going?

June 21, 2018 June 21, 2018 David Nugent

It is of course day three of the Royal Ascot race meeting, and if the last two days are anything to go by HM the Queen and the rest of the thousands of racing fans that will be packing the grandstands and racecourse today will be in for a real treat of racing at its very best.

However, what I have noticed as I peruse the early betting markets today is that there are some big prices being offered on some of the runners in the races, even if you fancy backing the favourites! So without further ado let me present to you the horses that are having the smart money placed on them at some fairly hefty odds!

In the very first race of the day that is scheduled to start at 14:30 the number 4 horse on the card that being Konchek looks a very reasonable bet, and the bookies are all being quite generous this morning at the majority of them are going at least 4/1 on that horse winning!

Fair Odds Today at Ascot

You have to hand it to the online betting sites they really are offering some reasonable odds today on most of the races at Royal Ascot, moving onto the e 15:05 many punters are of the mind that Key Victory is going to romp home.

If you are of the mind it will then you should have no difficulties being able to secure odds of 9/2 on that horse at most betting sites.

It is likely to be a case of flip-flopping favourites in the Royal Ascot 15:40 race, for Wild Illusion                and Sun Maiden are both readily available at odds of 11/4, but as the starting time of the race approaches I think the betting markets and volume of cash being placed on either horse will ultimately determine just which one starts favourite.

Royal Ascot 16:20 Race

It is likely to be a battle to the winning line in the 16:20 race at Royal Ascot today and the two horses that are likely to be involved in that battle are the joint favourites those being Order Of St George and Stradivarius both on offer at odds of 15/8

The Royal Ascot 17:00 race may go to another George this time George of Hearts who does look at tad overpriced currently at odds of 8/1!

The final race you will be able to watch today is the Royal Ascot 17:35 race, and there is not much separating Cross Counter at 11/2, Eleven at 6/1 and also Communique who does have a good chance of winning this race at 7/1.
