Welsh Open 2018

There is no getting away from the fact that Ronnie O’Sullivan has been playing up to his very best form recently, and as today is the day that the Welsh Open Snooker Tournament is up and running in earnest, then you may be considering having a bet on it and possible him!

It would appear that if you do think Ronnie is going to win, then you are not alone in that thought for many bookmakers, in fact all of the ones I have checked out this morning have him pencilled in as the firm favourite, and many such betting sites are offering odds of 11/4 that he will be crowned the winner.

However, those odds are of course not as low as they could be and there are plenty of other snooker players that will be hoping to lift the Welsh Open Snooker Tournament trophy this year, one of them is Mark Selby.

Selby is another player that many punters are hoping can beat off the opposite and take the trophy and the not too insignificant first place prize money on this tournament, and if he is the man you think has got what it takes to in then make sure you act quickly and take advantage of the current odds of 5/1 that are available on him.

There are two other players that I think are in with a chance of winning this snooker tournament, and they are Judd Trump, Judd and John Higgins and they are currently both on offer at 8/1 to win the tournament outright.

Half the Odds On an Each Way Bet

Considering the actual number of players taking part in the Welsh Open 2018, I have to say that I am a little disappointed in regards to the each way betting opportunities available on this ever popular snooker tournament.

Most bookmakers are offering their customers each way bets on it, however they are only paying to places and are offering just one half of the win odds on the each way element of such a bet!

However, if you are of the mind that you stand a much better chance of picking up some winnings by placing an each way bet, I certainly wouldn’t put you off placing such a bet, and considering the odds attached to all of the other snooker players, not listed above, if you have a sneaky suspicion that one player is going to in or come second then the odds are there for the taking!

In regards to just which snooker players it may be worth placing an each way bet on thought, there are a few that do stand out, and they include Junhui, Ding at 12/1, Williams, Mark also available at odds of 12/1, and Robertson, Neil at  14/1.

Do also consider the chances of Murphy, Shaun winning or getting placed at his current odds of 20/1, and also Allen, Mark at 22/1 or even Bingham, Stuart at 25/1.

Total Outsiders to Win the Welsh Open in 2018

Many betting sites are of course hoping you will place your hard earned money on one of the outsiders in the Welsh Open 2018, and there are certainly plenty of players that have very little Chance of winning.

However, it does have to be said that if you are prepared to take your chances and are prepared to take the risk too of having a bet on one of the outsiders to win, and if they do beat the odds and do so you will be very handsomely rewarded for your bravery!

There is a long list of players who are currently chalked up at odds to in this snooker tournament of 1000/1 and they include Morgan, Darren, Lam, Sanderson, Jones, Duane and John, David and even though their odds may be gigantic as long as they are in the tournament they do of course have a chance of winning it!

If those odds are too large and scary for you then how about placing a bet on some of the players that are currently on offer at a huge 500/1, if you do fancy placing a bet on which players then consider Astley, John, Preece, Ian, White, Jimmy or even Lawler, Rod.

Some additional players that could be worth having a speculative punt on include White, Michael, Davis, Mark, Yupeng, Cao and Lisowski, Jack and if you are quick you will find their current  odds are rather appealing being  100/1!
