The Waste Management Phoenix Open, or the WM Phoenix Open for short is about to start, and as you would expect many betting sites have now opened up their respective betting markets, and having taken a look at many of them I do have to say there is some value to be had out there!
In fact, whilst you may be interested in picking one of the golfers involved in that event and place an outright winner bet on them, I have come across a handful of betting sites that are going to allow you to place an each way type of bet on any golfer.
An outright winner bet is of course a bet on which you are paid out at the odds you take if any golfer wins the event, however placing an each way bet will see you placing two bets in one, one covering your chosen golfer to win and one covering your chosen golfer to finish in the top positions of the event.
By shopping around like I have just done you will come across betting sites that are offering and each way bet on which you will be paid out on the each way part of your bet at one fifth of the win odds if your golfer finishes in the top six positions.
So therefore if you are not 100% confident that you chosen golfer will win the WM Phoenix Open but is good enough to get placed then consider an each way bet for some added value!
Favourites to Win the WM Phoenix Open
What makes this year’s WM Phoenix Open rather unusual is that there is no golfer that stands out as the red hot favourite to win at this early stage of the betting, and as such that does of course mean the odds associated with the golfers who may just have a slightly better chance of winning are quite high in value.
As such I will now give you a quick insight into which golfers are currently at the top of the betting markets, and any of them may just be worth a punt based on their current form and the rather high odds currently available on each of them.
If you fancy the chances of Jordan Spieth then now would be a good time to place a bet on him as his win odds are currently 9/1. The next golfer who does have a very good chance of winning is of course Jon Rahm and his odds to in this event outright are quite reasonable currently at some 10/1.
Also at 10/1 is Hideki Matsuyama, and to be honest there is not much separating that golfer with Rickie Fowler whose odds are currently 11/1 or for that matter Justin Thomas who is available at quite a number of betting sites at 12/1.
The next golfers who you may be interested in placing a bet on include Marc Leishman at 28/1 or Webb Simpson, Tony Finau, and Daniel Berge whose odds are all 35/1 or for a speculative punt how about placing an each way bet on Alex Noren at 40/1?
Choosing a Safe and Legal Betting Site
One aspect to placing any type of sports related bet online is that you will want to have a complete peace of mind that you are going to get paid out your winnings when you win, and one way you can have complete peace of mind is by only ever placing your bets and wagers at licensed sports betting sites.
Also, I would steer you to signing up to betting sites that have a long and proven track record, for those long established betting sites are going to have vast experience in the betting environment and will be offering you a fully rounded type of betting experience.
If you live in one of the many countries of the world in which betting is perfectly legal then consider signing up to a betting site that is owned and operate by a company that also operates land based betting shops and/or Sportsbooks,, for there is very little chance they will suddenly going out of business taking your funds with them!
You can of course place a bet of any type wherever you please, but also always keep in mind each betting site or betting venue is going to be offering their own unique odds, so you will be best advised to hunt around and spend some time comparing the odds on whatever it is you wish to place a bet on!
